Wonderland History

In 2006 Pete Tong started to think about and plan a new club night. He wanted to create a wondrous club environment filled with exquisite sights, sounds and energy, driven by the music but equally by the visual experience. The debut Wonderland party was held at London's Ministry Of Sound on 3rd February 2007, Featuring Pete, David Guetta and Paul Harris. It was a roaring success and marked the start of a regular Wonderland Parties at Ministry, a residency that still flourishes today.



In the Summer of 2008, Pete controversially ended his 4 year Ibiza residency at Pacha to launch Wonderland Ibiza at Eden, located in the resurgent San Antoni area of the White Isle.
From the off, it became one of the island's 'Must-Go' club events, thanks largely to the forward thinking DJ line-ups and a mixture of well established and up and coming DJs. Also key to it's success, the incredible and lavish production, the Wonderland dancers, the stunning live visuals provided by Microchunk and all manner of special touches ensuring every person left Wonderland with a 360 degree clubbing memory for keeps.



2009 saw Wonderland return for it's second Ibiza season, however, before that, there was the small matter of the Wonderland Arena at Rockness to attend to...another storming success, Wonderland injected just a touch of ibiza into a gracious Loch Ness crowd!

Back to Ibiza, the 2nd season got off to a flier in June with Pete and Groove Armada setting the standard that would continue throughout the summer months.

Despite Ibiza on the whole feeling the effect of 'Credit Crunch' in 2009, Wonderland maintained excellent attendance, culminating in 2 legendary Mid-Season sell-outs, the first for Lady Gaga's Debut ibiza performance and the 2nd for Deadmau5 and Luciano's Essential Mix recording as part of BBC Radio 1's Ibiza Weekend. Of course, that's just the tip of the iceberg... Fatboy Slim, Eric Prydz, Zane Lowe & Mark Ronson, Dub Fire, Simian Mobile Disco, Faithless and many more graced the Wonderland DJ Booth in 09. Now it's all eyes on 2010!
